A team-up between two Springfield businesses gave a local child with a disability the opportunity to learn martial arts. The collaboration started at a networking event between Stephanie Staggs of Staggs Financial Services & Remi Richerson of Team Fusion, where the businesswomen say they met and shared similar interests. One passion is helping children with disabilities, so they decided to work together on a project that would see them both pay it forward. They created a contest, where families signed up on their social media pages, and picked a winner on March 1, 2024 to receive three free months of martial arts classes, led by Team Fusion coaches.
